The traditional red, white, and blue Pepsi Cola colors originated in 1941 when the Company decided to show their support for the war effort. Prior to that, they used whatever colors were fashionable for advertising at that time. Metal signs began appearing as early as 1908 advertising "Delicious and Healthful," a change from the earlier advertisements stressing digestive benefits.
